i know it's been a loooooong time since i last blogged, but i finally have fun things to share!

about 2 1/2 weeks ago, i decided i wanted to get back into running and finally sign up for a race. it turned out that cypress was having their annual 5k/10k race july 25th, and my cousin kiki was interested in training to run the race too.

here we are race day, we had to wake up at 6am and were signed up and waiting by 7am.

my goal was to run the 10k in less than 70min, my finish time was 67min. luckily, the race started early enough so heat wasn't much of an issue, still, it was nice to be given a popsicle at the finish line.

following the race, kiki and i celebrated with some bloody marys and a trip to the beach. the same evening i met with jazz, david, and david's friend zack at father's office, later jazz and david made us a delicious dinner and we stayed in to watch a movie.

if you read my sister's blog you know that every sunday she and david wake up early and go to the hollywood farmer's market. since i spent the night, i got to join.
