design*sponge posted about a new line of book jackets from book city jackets. i'm in love, the illustrations are gorgeous and so simple. they have both an artist series and "bookshelf" set. i think this would be simple to recreate with some craft paper and maybe lino stamps. i'm also thinking it would be a lovely way to disguise my more embarrassing books, i.e. twilight.

i first read about lego's architecture collection on curbly a few months back and have been desiring one of the sets ever since. i really want Falling Water from the Frank Lloyd Wright collection, but its not available yet.

i'm also feeling inspired by the book/new movie julie and julia, i think for the month of august i will attempt to work on a project (sewing, knitting, lino cutting, embroidery, etc) everday.
it may be an overly ambitious undertaking, so we'll see....
yet another "go me" moment. last night as my yoga class was ending and we were putting away our mats, one of the girls in my class said "your bag is so cute" then another piped in "where did you get it?" and as 5 other people leaned in i said that i had made my mat bag. all of the sudden i had people saying "really!?" and then someone asked how much i would charge to make one! judging by everyone's reaction and the interest they showed, i think i may have a little business brewing. though i have no idea how much i'd charge, any ideas???
